Overview
JOB- Quality Inspector LOCATION- Portsmouth, Hampshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £20,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience) We are looking for Quality Inspector on a permanent basis in the Portsmouth area with experience in the marine industry. Your main duty will be to manage, plan, record and co-ordinate the Quality process controls ensuring the factory output and all internal systems guarantee the correct level of product quality to their customers. The Quality Inspector will ideally have the following attributes: Previous experience working in a similar Quality role Must have previous experience working with an ISO9001 Quality Management system Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude Good problem-solving skills Any relevant experience within marine equipment is beneficial Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team The Quality Inspector role will involve: Assisting and over-seeing teams on the shop floor in inspection of flaws, damage, inconsistencies and other defects Ensuring all products meet the required quality standards Hands on approach to solving quality issues Maintaining the QMS to ISO9001 Ensuring correct procedures are followed on the shop floor Producing documentation for department operating instructions Liaising with other departments If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
