Job Description Manufacturing Project Manager – Automation / Manufacturing Excellent Salary with development opportunities Hertfordshire Vacancy Description Within the Automation Engineering department sits the Manufacturing Engineering Team who are responsible for the smooth transition of engineering systems, developed by the Product Development team, into manufacture. Once successfully handed over by Manufacturing Development into manufacture the product will be maintained by the Supply Chain Engineering team, who manage ongoing manufacture. As Manufacturing Project Manager you will use your wide knowledge of the Contract Manufacturing industry to manage transfer of products to strategic suppliers effectively on a Global basis. You will optimise the total business cost of the project whilst ensuring that the project outcomes are delivered on time, in line with stakeholder expectations Responsibilities As a project manager for the transfer of bespoke manufacturing you will provide effective project leadership and establish and deliver the plan, including: Ensure clear and appropriate communications between all parties Information management Co-ordinate / manage key stakeholders Ensure clear and consistent feedback for the CMO Provide a point of escalation for the team Provide direction on key initiatives. Accountable for output Facilitate regular reviews and workshops Establish robust processes to ensure efficiency, high level of transparency and due diligence Establish and maintain appropriate stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimise risk, negotiate optimum pricing and resolve issues as they arise. Proactively identify, manage and advise on commercial risks associated with the Transfer to Manufacture and mitigate Evaluate cost / benefit of various scenarios and make recommendations to senior management About you…. Extensive commercial experience including the management of high value contracts Cross functional knowledge, especially Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and NPI High level of credibility through the business Strong communicator at all levels Proven track record in effective supplier development and management to deliver company procurement strategies Although based at the Hertfordshire head office, you will be expected to travel to sites both in the UK and abroad Ability to work in dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
