Job Description Revit / Cad Technician / Architect - Automation / Manufacturing/ Material Handling architectural Competitive Salary and extensive benefits Hertfordshire Vacancy description My client is an online retailer and also design their own first class technology and end-to-end automation solutions, they are growing at a rapid rate and delivering on designing and implementing state of the art Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs - Automated Distribution Centres) in the UK and internationally for themselves and other global retailers. The Technical Design and Integration (TDI) team is growing and I’m looking for a Revit CAD Technician/Architect to join them. This person will be supporting the TDI, Engineering and Logistics Projects teams by providing conceptual and detailed design drawings for both new and existing projects. Role responsibilities: Producing 'engineering’ layouts at the detailed design phase Where appropriate, providing proposed and/or as-built equipment and infrastructure drawings for inclusion in Vendor designs Carrying out surveys of new and legacy installations across the Property Portfolio Applying design knowledge for input into mechanical design Integrating externally produced component drawings into the main Engineering library. Producing mechanical 'sales’ layouts at the concept design phase Skills and Experience Proficient in Autodesk Revit 3D Proficient in AutoCAD 2D Revit System Family Experience Knowledge other 3D CAD software e.g. Inventor, Solidworks, etc. would also be an advantage Someone from an Architectural or Construction background would be an advantage Google Docs, MS Office experience Good at problem-solving Good communication skills Team player The ability to work under pressure Vacancy description The successful candidate will be an experienced Electronics design engineer with embedded systems development experience and knowledge of power electronics systems development and will have Systems design experience of complex systems that includes the design of software or FPGA/ASIC-based real-time embedded processing systems and be able to contribute to design reviews and present material in specialist area Ocado is an award-winning online retailer revolutionising grocery shopping in the UK who continually report double digit growth. This role is to enable Ocado to retain UK sector lead and to grow nationally and internationally through the development of new automation products and equipment Key skills required for the Electronics Design Engineer job: Create circuit schematics and layout multi-layer PCBs using CAD Both Schematic Capture and PCB layout with SMT and through hole devices Design and development of power, digital and analogue circuits Design and develop circuits and systems for high voltage circuits, low voltage circuits, analogue digital & microcontroller based circuits and power electronics circuits Exposure to FPGAs / VHDL programming would be beneficial Design and test systems for compliance with EMC and Low Voltage directives Support production, planning, service and purchasing departments Experience undertaking schematic capture, choosing components, justifying thedesign by analysis and testing of reliability Development and maintenance of digital/analogue circuitry and Embedded software code Management and implementation of cost reduction programmes Investigate field issues and production issues and implementing the necessary changes needed Reliability and regulatory testing of products Knowledge and experience of EMC and LVD design approvals process Product integration, Verification and Validation including component testing, system testing, performance testing, test planning and documentation Systems definition and Design - understanding of the system design process including requirements allocation and architecture definition and capability determination Basic pre-requisites Degree in Electrical, Electronic or ControlEngineering, or similar related subject Excellent knowledge of High Voltage circuits, powerelectronics, digital/analogue electronics design experience Experience of EMC and electrical safety standards Exposure to analogue and digital circuitdesign Experience withdesigning and constructing PCBs Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-pacedengineering environment Background / Experience required: Qualified to a degree level or electronicengineering or closely-related discipline PCB layout/schematic capture skills and experience with CAD simulation packages Degree in electrical or electronicengineering or similar Analoguedesign Digitaldesign experience Significant recent profession is hardware /electronics related subject Application Process If you have the above skills and wish to be considered for this position or find out more details then please submit your CV.
