Whilst experience in the Care Industry is not required, any experience of supporting others in either a work capacity, social or charity setting would be beneficial. This could include, but not be limited to things such as Care Assistants, Care Workers, Support Workers, home help, family carer, retired nurses or teachers, anyone with experience of caring for children or vulnerable adults, or anyone who has supported with social or charitable groups or clubs such as Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Sparks, Brownies, Guides, sports clubs, kids clubs, charities, etc. etc……. I guess you get the idea The role will involve working in a residential school supporting children and young adults in a fantastic supportive environment. With a starting salary of £17,500 - £18,500 plus overtime should you want it. This position requires you to work a mixture of early and late shifts. Early shifts start at 7am and the Late shift finishes at 10pm. You also must be able to drive as there are no direct public transport links. As a Care Assistant your role will be varied and incredibly rewarding. Typically, this will involve looking after the welfare and wellbeing of young residents and will include the following: - Shopping & meal preparation - Support with daily routines - Administering medication - Socialising and leisure and learning activities both within the grounds of this fantastic estate as well as day trips into local towns and villages. It is especially important during this time that we support the children and young adults in need of daily care.
