Overview
We are currently recruiting an experienced M&E Contract Supervisor / Permit Engineer to supervise sub-contractors on site. The sites are commercial scale facilities undergoing life-cyle and refurbishment projects, HVAC, M&E and general fabric building services. National travel and requirement. The role is an ongoing contract based on various sites across the UK. Circa 8 hours per day, Mon-Fri days Day rate: £202/day PAYE rate (plus holiday pay) £266/day UMBRELLA PAYE rate Rate will be increased if you work away from home The Projects Contract Supervisor will have responsibility for: Statutory compliance and adherence to systems and procedures on site projects and the issue of permits and subcontractor supervision The successful candidate will have experience of supervising a small team of engineers in a building services environment and have a Mechanical and / or Electrical background themselves. They will be client facing, be competent in raising permits, managing sub-contractors and generating operation reports. Assisting in the delivery of M&E Projects on each estate Liaison with the Lead Project Manager, commercial team and support departments Ensure timely delivery of projects and smooth operation of logistics and site compliance Issue and logging of permits to work, collection of RAMS, risk assessments and contract documentation Lead the team in provision of excellent service delivery by monitoring performance, taking corrective action when necessary and escalating as appropriate. Monitor completion of Work in Progress and reporting and liaison with the PM team Ensure compliance with statutory controls across all technical areas of expertise Carry out sub-contractor quotations and produce quotes for any small works required on site. Where required use extensive Technical Knowledge assisting Engineers Completing all required documentation, job sheets and certificates. Requirements Experience working as a Supervisor probably as Multi-Skilled Technician, experienced in a M&E Project Engineering setting Capable of Supervising sub-contractors Previous experience and training on issuing site permits Experienced in Statutory & Mandatory Compliance Records / Certification and uploading onto Service Systems.
