Overview
A Technical Product Manager / API Product Manager / Platforms Product Manager is needed by a leading consumer start-up to own a suite of critical internally facing products that are essential to their scale. Now profitable, they need a Technical Product Manager / API Product Manager / Platforms Product Manager to fully evaluate, develop and implement a product approach to their marketing automation, API strategy and prospecting tools - as without this person, the business can't fundamentally grow to the next level. The Technical Product Manager / API Product Manager / Platforms Product Manager will; Own and develop the API, platform services & marketing automation strategy Through user research and engagement with developers, obtain a good understanding of customer problems to drive new products and features, along with existing Still have strong commercial acumen, naturally balancing both tech and non tech approaches Communicate problem statements and product (solution) requirements to engineering teams and document them in writing, along with UX wireframes or API scaffolding Define, monitor, and analyse product metrics to feed back to the development team Come up with new ideas to automate, streamline and improve business outputs through technology Work very closely with the Founder, VP Product and wider team to ensure these products are well built, solve user problem, and are genuinely scalable Have strong enough technical skills to critique engineering outputs The Technical Product Manager / API Product Manager / Platforms Product Manager must have; 4-5 years of product management experience Experience building APIs, as well as complex, data heavy products The ability to be technically fluent, with an understanding of technical architecture to work and communicate clearly with engineers Experience delivering solutions for developers, writing documentation & building technical products from scratch Ability to critique and review code where required (not actually code though) Knowledge of software development lifecycle process and methodologies Start-up experience Great communication skills 2:1 or above degree in Software Engineering or equivalent This is a fantastic opportunity for the Technical Product Manager / API Product Manager / Platforms Product Manager to make a big impact within a rapidly growing company with a huge appetite, high calibre team and proven business model.
