Overview

Financial Systems Analyst Glasgow - 12m FTC Due to business growth our Glasgow office has a requirement for a Financial Systems Analyst to join our Balance Sheet team. In this role youwill assist with the rollout of BlackLine across our various regions. BlackLine has been rolled out in our EMEA region and is centrally managed by a team in Glasgow. The Glasgow team are now tasked with the deployment to LATAM and ASIAPAC. BlackLine is an account reconciliation system and is being implemented across other regions in conjunction with an Accounts Reconciliation Protocol. The role's primary responsibility is to be Subject Matter Expert (SME) of BlackLine within the Finance function. The role holder is located in the Glasgow and may involve international travel, on an infrequent basis. In this role you will: Fully understand the system and configure in line with current processes within the Glasgow team Fully understand underlying processes in local teams Ensure the Account Reconciliation Protocol is adhered to Be able to train other areas how they can use the system Perform extensive UAT on project deployments Assist in-country finance teams during go-live of the projects Accountabilities Understand how other systems will interact with BlackLine to understand any restrictions or requirements when rolling out to new countries. Responsible for ensuring that the Account Reconciliation Protocol is adhered to when rolling out Blackline and reconciliations. Become a SME on Blackline Fully understand the workings of BlackLine in terms of how it is used as an account reconciliation, matching and variance tool Understand local teams underlying processes that drive reconciliations. Carry out UAT on the system when rolled out in new countries Inform new users on how they can use the system Required skills and experience: Part Qualified or qualified accountant preferred but not essential Project experience including, configuration, testing and implementation Blackline, MS Access, VBA, Macro experience is desired but not essential. Experience of general ledger account reconciliations Proven record of working to tight deadlines Confident to communicate with management at all levels.
