Management Accountant -Leading Manufacturing Group -£35,000 - £45,000 per annum - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading manufacturing group to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Management Accountant based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Looking after a growing entity of the group you will report directly into the Financial Controller, overseeing and supporting a small finance team. An exciting permanent opportunity due to an recent restructure within the Group, offering progression and development for the right candidate where you can really add value. Your new role Your key duties will involve preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasting and cashflow preparation, along with managing the month-end close processes in accordance with group guidelines. You will business partner with non-financial management and parties, maintain fixed asset register and HP schedules, along with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis. You will be involved preparation of statutory returns and VAT returns, intercompany balances and process/systems improvements. You will oversee and supervise the Finance Assistants with payment processing, purchase/sales ledger processes and general financial administration. Work closely with the Financial Controller you will be involved in ad-hoc financial projects and reporting to support business growth. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this hands-on and progressive Management Accountant position you will need experience within a similar role, ideally you will be part-qualified/finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA working towards full qualification or fully-qualified. You will need to have strong MS Excel skills, the ability to communicate financial numbers/analysis to a range of internal members at all levels in the business, along with being able to improve processes/systems. You will need to be hands-on and have experience of working within an SME, along with being able to manage work-loads meeting time-constraint deadlines. Experience within the manufacturing sector and Sage packages would be advantageous, but not essential. What you'll get in return This permanent and exciting Management Accountant opportunity is offering a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire with on-site parking.
