Overview
Senior Accountant / Manager Cute Resource Solutions is supporting a Bath based practice situated south of the city centre in their search for this key and critcal hire. The business is looking for a senior Accountant, to work closely and directly with its own portfolio of clients, supporting the Managing Director of the business, in growing and developing the business, as well as looking after the day to day running of the team. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for an individual to progress into a senior leadership role working alongside the owner of the business. Autonomy, scope and influence from the right candidate is welcomed, in line with developing and supporting the strategic objectives of the business. The firm are a professional, experienced and friendly team of accountants serving clients throughout London and the South. Established for 30 years plus the business continues its growth of recent years, specialising in supporting SME business clients to manage their corporate and tax affairs, whilst assisting personal tax clients with compliance and planning to proactively manage their wealth, capital gains tax and inheritance tax issues. The business are seeking an experienced and Senior Accountant to join the team and to take on a portfolio of clients; a client facing role to include production of financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, with client advisory services, support and planning in all areas. Knowledge of other areas such as IR35, CGT, IHT an advantage. The practice is based on Iris software for which training can be given, whilst a variety of accounting packages are used and for which clients are supported, including Quickbooks, Xero and Sage The successful candidate will be qualified, with considerable experience and able to make an immediate contribution to the team. They will evidence on going CPD and a commitment to training, supporting a knowledge of current tax & accounting matters. Whilst they will be experienced within Private Practice some experience commercially in industry would also be valued. This is a long term, senior & developing role; a commercial ability that can help develop the business, its products and services will be an advantage as will general management abilities. Management involvement can include (where appropriate to the candidate): Delivery of business strategy road map, with involvement in its development to include growth and acquisition Day to day operational management e.g. resource management and identification; system review & development; staff time management & performance review Management of HR function, job descriptions & sourcing new staff, training (CPD), benefits packages and perks, organisation development, disciplinary matters Company finance management; cashflow; credit control; business planning The remuneration package will be in line with experience and qualification.
