Overview
Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding new role? If the answer is yes, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team based in Bourton-on-the-Water. What will you be doing? As Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership for implementation of production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including new product introduction and operational designs to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Duties include: Evaluate manufacturing processes; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication and assembly, tooling and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout Assure product and process quality be designing test methods; testing finished product and capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes Provide manufacturing decision making information by calculating production, labour and material costs; reviewing production schedules, estimating future requirements What do you need? Degree and / or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline Experience in medical device production / manufacturing Experience of international quality standards, preferably medical devices ISO13485 Previous experience of developing standard operation procedures and work instructions Experience of equipment/process validation and injection moulded parts and associated tooling, machinery and assembly would be desirable.
