Job Title - Senior Project Engineer (Track) Location - London Rates - £483.30 LTD/Umbrella £421.98 PAYE In Scope of IR35 About the role / project: Network Rail are looking for a Senior Track Project Engineer to join the team in the Southern Region. Currently working on the Croydon Area Re signalling project you will be responsible for Track engineering assurance. What you will do: Competence in Track alignment design and principles. Design and engineering assurance of plain line and S&C layouts. Knowledge of Gauging assessments, reports and principles. be responsible for collaboratively and proactively managing and guiding supplier's Track CRE. Familiar with NRS 02009 and all relevant Network Rail Standards associated with Track Engineering discipline. Experience with interfacing with RAM (Track) and Route Track Maintenance Engineers (TMEs). Understanding of Client's Requirement Document (CRD), Route Requirement Document (RRD) and Detailed Route Requirement Document (DRRD). Ability to review, comment and accept Supplier's GRIPs 1/2/3 design deliverables. Experienced in the management and review of supplier's design registers (issues, risk, design decision, assumption, derogation). You will be a key member in project's CSM REA and CDM processes as mandated by standards. Expected to work collaboratively with the Project Management team, Project Engineering team, Commercial, Risk and Value Manager. Your experience will include: Essential Significant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas Technical qualifications to at least HND level or equivalent Membership of a relevant professional institution Experience of major contracting Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance Understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of works Accident investigation experience Desirable Six Sigma Yellow Belt Chartered status or equivalent in the particular discipline Appreciation of environmental issues in engineering works What you'll get in return Network Rail (powered by Capita), understand what it is like to work as a contractor and do everything they can to make it a simple process for you - this includes a dedicated Onboarding and extension teams and access to a web based timesheet portal giving you an ability to access and submit your timesheets wherever you are.
