Overview
Senior Financial / Fund Accountant We are recruiting for a new role for a nearly or newly qualified professional to join a rapidly expanding fund and corporate services business in Fareham. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager this interesting and challenging role will be to support the day-to-day accounting of fund structures and offers great scope for career development and progression. Key responsibilities: Providing accounting services for a complex range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures and liaising with clients and intermediaries as necessary Completing all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and adhoc investor queries Dealing with the completion of routine audit queries Preparing periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions Acting as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff Candidates: Candidates will be nearly or fully qualified (ACCA or ACA) with experience of working effectively in a small team and ideally sound technical financial services knowledge or experience of working with a professional client portfolio. This role would ideally suit a candidate making a move form professional practice. Candidates should have strong systems skills.
