Based in our Manchester Head Office. It is an exciting time to join the business as we rationalise our current infrastructure and embark on our journey to Cloud based services. You will work collaboratively with the wider IT team (Development, InfoSec, BI and Service Desk) to support existing services and deliver new. The key objectives of your role are: To ensure that the Group IT Operations Manager and Head of IT Service Delivery are kept informed of progress and in particular are told of major problems and/or issues in a timely manner Responsibility for supporting and maintaining the company’s Telecommunications services Work in partnership with colleagues and project team to migrate on premise telephony platform to cloud based service and deliver rollout of SIP / SDWAN improvements. To maintain the continuous running of circa 1,300 non geographical delivery numbers across several call delivery and call management platforms including VOIP SIP and ISDN To maintain a circa 900 user Android/Apple mobile device estate and various MDM solutions To ensure that all Telecoms related services are documented and that the team are equipped to support them. To provide critical incident management response and ownership, controlling and coordinating necessary activities to restore service and deliver root cause fixes and preventative solutions Telecoms budget and licence management. Innovation and Continual Service Improvements. Identify, analyse and document business processes & workflows to identify opportunities for streamlining and improvements. Capacity Management Day to day team management, performance management - including training and development. Resolution of escalated issues and problems from the Telecoms service desk Provision and upgrades of core systems including hardware installations and software configurations To work within SLA and KPI targets to agreed business priorities. Resolving telecommunications related faults quickly and efficiently. To be pro-active in suggesting and proposing new technologies to support the businesses. Work collaboratively with team members and support functions to resolve issues in a timely manner Proactively monitor Telecommunication services Take ownership, investigate and resolve escalated tickets Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers and equipment. The Successful Telecommunications Engineer must have: Cloud telephony experience Strong experience in the telecommunications field Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong project management and implementation skills ITIL experience. Experience in 2nd and 3rd line support. Experience with supporting customers over the phone and in person. Experience of ticket management. Experience in billing and NGN platform management. Experience in PBX SIP VOIP support and implementation.
