First Line IT Support Engineer We are a leading managed IT service provider in the education sector. We need a First Line IT Engineer to fulfil this core role, supporting IT within one of our partners in Hook. This is an exciting time to be joining CTS, a company that puts engineering excellence first. The IT technician is one of our core, permanent roles, within our partner schools and key to the success of our Managed IT service provision. Our requirement is for an engineer with some background in supporting substantial infrastructures and networks utilising Microsoft technologies. As a first line IT engineer you will be working daily in an educational environment with a team of dedicated professionals. You will also receive external support from our experienced seniors who are never far away, supporting you either remotely or as a planned site visit. Working as a valued member of the CTS team you will have ample opportunity to further your career within the education sector whilst providing an outstanding service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include: · Resolving 1st/2nd line support calls from within your allocated school. · Supporting and maintaining the school's infrastructures and networks to ensure maximum service ability · Ensuring the IT support manager, senior engineer and central helpdesk are aware of any issues that need to be raised and escalated - we are looking for someone who can do, but someone who equally is prepared to escalate. · You will be representing CTS at all times within the school in your day to day work, being a key member of the CTS managed service team on site. · Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by CTS. At CTS we are committed to safeguarding and protection of children in our work. Requirements · You need to have some experience of supporting IT in a controlled environment. · You will have experience and be willing to work in teams to resolve common problems, and also be part of our rollout project teams. · Microsoft Server Skills are desirable, along with an understanding broadly of the principles below: O Active Directory O DNS O DHCP O Group Policy · Professional and polished interpersonal and communication skills · Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential · CTS to receive a clean and valid DBS disclosure upon successful application (disclosure cost met by CTS) Benefits and Opportunities We can offer you: · An environment that is underpinned by a passionate, people driven company.
