Overview

Senior Full Stack Javascript Developer sought to join a House hold name in the financial services sector You’ll be working with a hugely talented team delivering software using micro-services architecture underpinned by continuous delivery in an Agile environment. The role is well suited to an experienced Developer who is passionate about technology, motivated by technical challenges and looking for the next step in their career. Duties: · Work with a talented software development team and other corporate team members to obtain software requirements, define quality design specifications based on these requirements, implement and test the proposed design. · Be responsible for architecting and developing our core platform and infrastructure including the backend, front end, and APIs · Bring technical vision, a great work ethic, and a positive attitude to inspire teams and scale a business. · Write efficient, thoroughly tested and proactively optimize server-side code to ensure high performance and robustness – our current stack is Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mongo.Db and a whole host of other technologies in other products including Java, C, Python, etc · Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) are important for us but we’re not as strong as we would like. We expect you to take the lead promote and strive for best practices within the dev team. · Explain complex technical concepts in a simple fashion. Experience: · Experience designing and building APIs using popular HTTP service frameworks in JavaScript (Node.js) · Proven experience in large complex software projects including Microservices and containerized applications · Full-stack JavaScript developer with at least 2 years' experience · Experience building modern web applications using React · Fluency in front-end technologies, HTML5, and CSS3 · 3 years of software development · Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system · Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications · Experience delivering cloud-based solutions & · Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a team environment · Must be able to manage workload independently · Demonstrate excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) · Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP protocols beneficial · Java ability a plus Other Assets · Experience with software management and deployment tools (Git, Jenkins, bitbucket) · Delivering web-based solutions using web protocols and web scripting languages (including web sockets, SOAP, JSON, XML) · AWS ECS/RDS/Lambda experience · MongoDB & PostgreSQL Job Type: Full-time, office based in West London (W3) with remote work allowance. Salary: £55,000.00 to £95,000.00 /year dependent on experience.
