Overview

Perm Internal Senior Software Engineer - Farnborough - £40K - £50K My client is a premier manufacturer of equipment used to identify contaminants. They have been in business since the 1960's, In this fast-moving position, you are responsible for providing sales/technical support to an allocated market, acting as a central coordinator supporting the smooth transition of orders through the business. This key role is vital in maintaining our satisfaction and credibility with customers. Responsibilities: Design, development and implementation of real time PC based software primarily in C++ Documentation of design specifications and implementation details Creation of test specifications and procedures Keep up to date with the latest technologies Essential Requirements: High level of expertise in embedded C and C++ Experience of Delphi for GUI development Experience of application debugging and troubleshooting of a PC based target Experience of implementing image processing techniques Experience of using USB, Ethernet and other synchronous and asynchronous communication protocols Strong documentation skills Strong analytical problem-solving ability Prepared to own a project Confident in facing a customer for requirements capture, delivery or ongoing support Ability to travel within reason to customers in Europe and Worldwide Experience with IAR Development Environment Experience of USB Experience of C# TCP/IP Stack experience Windows 10 IOT experience Knowledge of UML notation, methods and tools or other formal methods Working knowledge of the full development cycle Desirable requirements: A technology related bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience within a gaming or image processing environment Package Excellent Pension with Critical illness cover Cycle to work scheme, Childcare vouchers Annual performance related bonus
