Overview
A successful client of mine are looking to recruit a Senior Network Engineer. If you have proven experience in designing and developing functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN), then this could be the perfect role for you. You will be working as part of the Networks and Security team. The main focus of this role will be providing technical excellence and smooth operation of customers LAN, WAN and Telephony solutions. The role will also need the candidate to act as a technical lead on medium to large scale infrastructure projects from design to implementation. Responsibilities will include: Designing and developing functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VoIP) Configuring and installing LAN equipment, switches and routers. Support and coach other engineers in the team at a technical level to provide professional support Data Centre design and support, specialising in Routing and Switching. Design and Implement Network Connectivity solutions based on business requirements. Ensure adequate systems monitoring and maintenance is in place. 3rd line technical BAU support for the Networks team on a day-to-day basis including problem resolution. Network Hardware Lifecycle management and upgrades. Support and technical guidance on VoIP solutions including On Premise and Cloud Solutions Essential Skills Required: Technical knowledge and experience towards a CCNP level Must have strong experience in Cisco Routing and Switching within a Data Centre environment. Technology focus - MPLS, TCP/IP, IPSec, BGP, QoS, IP Telephony, Multicast etc… Strong Network design experience across LAN/WAN/Security/QoS Must possess strong analytical and organisational skills. Knowledge and understanding of principles of VoIP, including QoS, CoS, Jitter and Latenc Good understanding of SBCs (Sessions Border Controllers), SIP and PST Excellent documentation, design and written skills.
