This role sits within our Computershare Technology Services team which provides IT services to one of our largest Business lines: Computershare Loan Services. CLS is the largest player in the UK outsourced mortgage servicing market, with 60% Market share and over £70 billion of mortgage assets under management. As one of our Test Analysts, you will be working within a cross-functional software delivery team to deliver new or enhanced capabilities which satisfy expectations and deliver value on global scale along with providing testing expertise and guidance within a collaborative agile environment. You will be working with multiple teams to take an active part in delivering team commitments and embrace continuous improvement across the wider team to ensure best practice as well as contribute to improvements and innovation in technologies/practices. Key Accountabilities Solicit feedback in order to clarify/understand requirements. Translate business requirements into clearly defined test scenarios in order to support development. Apply technical knowledge and expertise to influence/define the test approach in order to mitigate the risk of change. Check that software meets expected behaviours and explore for additional risks. Assure the quality of tasks, services and information provided by your team – through the quality of your own work and the support you provide to others. Provide informal guidance and share knowledge with colleagues to enable them to contribute to the team’s objectives. Share knowledge with the wider community. Communicate effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to: share knowledge and ideas; provide updates; influence; challenge; and take on feedback Skills & Experience · Some level of experience of working in a development environment · Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills. · A curious, observant and intuitive explorer who is capable of the setup, exercise and checking of test scenarios against the system-under-test. · Experience of using test design techniques and of performing and applying risk analysis to identify test types and test coverage – preferable · Basic scripting, database query and coding skills. · Experience of Public online Applications and a background in Usability and Accessibility is desirable · Understanding of test environments, quality gateways and the route to production. · A collaborative individual with the ability to build great working relationships, influence others and shares information and ideas with others, whilst taking on feedback · Experience in financial services, mortgage industry is desirable This is a truly fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join a team where your voice will be heard, and you can make a change whilst building on your own skills and career.
