Adult Education Tutor Location: Bootle, L20 3EF Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum, depending on experience About the Company: Our client is changing the face of 'work specific' training through the development, organisation and delivery of adult training programmes that meet the needs of the local communities that they serve. Our client is looking for an experienced Adult Education Tutor to deliver their established Taxi VRQ & Construction training programmes. As an Adult Education Tutor you will deliver training content that will enable customers to meet learning and development targets so that they can move towards sustainable outcomes. As a key player in the integrated employment and skills agenda their Tutors are responsible for ensuring that our learners have access to a range of high quality learning and training opportunities. Tutors are central to driving the performance of their operations across a range of key performance indicators. Adult Education Tutor Responsibilities: Deliver and evaluate programme content to meet needs of our customers, moving them towards sustainable outcomes and meeting the needs of the contract targets. Ensure that all activities are planned and delivered effectively to enable all customers to meet agreed goals Assist in the achievement of contractual performance targets through delivering against a range of contract measures Plan, prepare and complete all necessary documentation to ensure adherence to contract and quality standards, awarding bodies and regulatory inspectorate requirements Take ownership of personal continuing professional development (CPD) to maintain professional standards in line with QTLS Feed into the continuous improvement of programme content and associated materials to help drive performance and quality of provision Ensure that all learners are given fair access to opportunities by reviewing and changing the programme content and delivery mechanisms Lead on ensuring that learners journeys are positive, paying particular attention to curriculum, personal/social development and learner feedback Instil a continuous improvement culture within the teams through effective self-assessment and quality improvement planning and implementation Utilise available management information as a quality and performance improvement tool to enhance quality and contract performance Ensure adherence to Health & Safety (including Safe Learner concept), Equal Opportunities and Code of Conduct policies and that all learners are given fair access to opportunities Maintain the necessary administrative systems to manage your workflow, maintain required records and contribute to the Business Intelligence which helps to manage centre performance Liaise with Next Step Mentors to ensure positive progression opportunities are available for all learners leaving and follow up outcomes Adult Education Tutor Requirements: At least 2 years within a similar Adult Education role (Preferably) Experience of delivering similar vocational based qualifications and programmes (Preferably) Hold a valid PTLLS (Essential) Strong written and verbal communication skills including report writing skills Self-motivated Excellent organisation skills and ability to meet set timescales Effective customer care skills Ability to work both within a team and individually If you think that you are suitable for this Adult Education Tutor role, please apply now Our client actively looks to recruit individuals from under-represented backgrounds and would welcome female applicants for this post.
