Then Manpower has the perfect role for you Manpower is excited to be working with our client to source a Crisis Support Worker for their offices in Kent. Our client is a leading mental health support organisation who will be running a drop-in service. They pride themselves on giving personalised support to help people achieve good physical and mental wellbeing and live life to the full. About the role Your role as Crisis Support Worker will be to work within this out of hours drop in service to provide support for any clients in need. The aim of the service is to provide crisis de-escalation, reducing immediate distress and providing information and support whilst signposting people into appropriate services. You will be working to encourage service users to recognise, understand and manage factors that affect their mental health. You will do this by working closely with GP's, crisis teams, Police and other agencies. Other responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records and providing statistical and qualitative information on activities happening within the service. The service operates 365 days a year between the hours of 6pm and 12am. About the candidate To succeed in this role you must have experience of working within a social care setting as well as identifying and co-ordinating a range of services to meet individual needs. An awareness of mental health issues, safety management and safeguarding will be highly advantageous. You will demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workloads and keep accurate records. Having a NVQ level 3 in a related topic, such as health and social care, is required. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to listen to, and empathise with clients.
