Overview

Support Worker – Residential Childcare (8-18 year olds with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) We are looking for Support Workers who wants to make a difference in the lives of Young People with disabilities which include Autism, Mental Health problems and Challenging Behaviours. As a Support Worker you will be providing a combination of support, personal care and domestic care. You will be empathetic and understanding of the trauma those in your care have suffered which can manifest in to very challenging behaviours. Requirements of the role You must be at least 21 years of age Full UK driving licence, this is not essential but an advantage Ideally 6 months professional experience working with young people with disabilities You must be able to commit to working a variety of shifts including 8am-10pm, 10pm-8am, 8am-10pmSleep Over Typically you would work two shifts and them have three days off If you meet the above criteria, we can offer you Work within a friendly & passionate team who value their colleagues Rewarding work helping disadvantaged children reach their potential Ongoing training including the opportunity to complete a the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare Excellent earning potential with over time paid at £5 per hour above the regular rate Opportunity to progress in to a Senior position once you've completed the Level 3 Diploma Management opportunities available after x2 years employment Free meals on shift Healthcare plan including free eye checks The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service or provide Update Service subscription details.
