The Risk Assurance department provides a range of services to existing clients including assurance reviews, outsourced internal audit, due diligence, compliance and regulatory advisory projects and skilled persons (s166 reviews). This team specialises in providing regulatory advice and guidance to clients within the financial services sector, supporting them to maintain compliance and manage risk in accordance with regulatory requirements. The team has a diverse client base, from niche challenger firms, to long-established financial institutions. The team provide services to clients in the UK and across other wider regulatory jurisdictions globally. We are searching for an experienced Regulatory Prudential Associate Director who will support the Financial Services Regulatory Director and will assist in business development activities and delivering client engagements. This role offers the opportunity to own and develop a team within a successful and rapidly growing division. Key Skills: Strong stakeholder management including boards, audit committees and regulators; Strong regulatory experience with a proven track record in complex regulatory projects Individual who can work in a fast-paced environment; Strong attention to detail; Willingness to learn and develop own knowledge; Strong communication skills, both oral and written; Ability to problem solve and develop pragmatic solutions; Strong management skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Strong organisational skills; Experience of working in a client facing environment and managing relationships; Experience of managing engagements and teams; Experience of business development, for example familiarity with tender processes and proposition design; Knowledge of the financial services market and the regulatory institutions. The Associate Director, Prudential is responsible for: Developing the Prudential proposition; Producing proposals and presenting to clients Acting as a subject matter expert; Ensuring effective management of the client engagement lifecycle; Supporting with the production of tender documents and proposals to secure new business; Supporting the development of the brand through market research, new proposition design, go to market strategies and thought leadership; Regulatory horizon scanning; Day-to-day delivery of client engagement activities; Acting as an ambassador for our brand and developing a network of industry contacts; Training and developing junior staff Key areas of focus include: Internal audit and advisory reviews of prudential controls; ICAAP reviews for advisory and internal audit engagements; Recovery plans; A detailed understanding of financial crime regulation and legislation including: PRA and Bank of England rules and guidance including: Consultation papers; Policy statements; Supervisory statements; Statements of policy and Prudential regulation news releases and speeches; FCA rules and guidance including SYSC; EU legislation including the EU Prudential framework, CRD IV/CRR. The Investment Firms Regulation1 (IFR) and Investment Firms Directive (IFD); and the work of The European Banking Authority (EBA) and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA); PRA s166 reviews;
