System Engineer I LexisNexis Risk Solutions Nottingham, United Kingdom Salary: Up to £30,000 LexisNexis is looking to recruit a technology graduate to work on our Cloud based, high volume, high speed data systems, which supply data to the Insurance Industry. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology and a desire to learn new skills to join a highly experienced team in our Nottingham office. Previous AWS/cloud experience would be advantageous along with any scripting experience such as python or automation tools (ansible, terraform). The role is quite varied but has a strong focus on cloud automation (IaC), security, responding to incidents and general system improvements/maintenance. The successful application will join an existing team that includ es great benefits and a competitive salary. QUALIFICATIONS: • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required. TECHNICAL SKILLS: • Problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of Linux systems and tools. • Understanding of cloud technologies and general Linux infrastructure builds. • Some scripting knowledge such as python or automation technologies (ansible, terraform). • Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies. • Familiar with some agile working methodologies. ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Apply basic problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues for ongoing projects. • Ownership and delivery of regular maintenance tasks such as system patching. • Diagnose basic system performance problems. • Ownership of agile user stories with the dedication and determination to see them through to completion.
