Overview

Are you looking for a hands-on career within a well-respected engineering company based in Sheffield? Our client, based in the S9 area of Sheffield are looking or an assembly operative to join their growing team. Using a variety of tools, you will be working on your own and in teams to produce their products based on spec sheets and engineer’s drawings. Working hours Monday – Thursday: 7:00am-4:00pm Friday: 7:00am-1:00pm £8.21 per hour basic. £12.32 per hour over time after 40 hours. Duties: Assembling the electrical boxes of various sizes Following technical drawings and design specifications Using hand tools such as drills, spanners and screw drivers Carrying out quality checks regularly Using pillar drills Carrying out light welding on some products Completing data sheets after completion of finished product ready for inspection and despatch Keeping your workstation tidy and well organised The ideal candidate must: Be able to understand technical drawings and work from them Have a switched on attitude towards learning and developing Be able to use hand and power tools Have some previous assembly experience How to Apply: Apply to this job advert OR Email rothmyntrecruitment with your CV, covering letter and reference AOS0005
