Buying Assistant - Food & Drink £22,000 - £25,000 per annum Monday to Friday Just Recruit have an exciting opportunity with a leading, family run food manufacturers in Glasgow. A Buying Assistant is an interesting position where you’re responsible for ensuring that a business has the best working environment and processes for progressing sales orders for the company and our customer’s. A good Buying Assistant has the power to make a business – the fitters working there – and our customers more efficient and much happier with their working conditions. Main duties of the Buying Assistant include; Monitor stock and help provide accurate forecast to meet product demand – KPIs Help identify the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality Develop and maintain good relationships with internal customers and external suppliers Provide accurate and timely processing of administrative requirements Help provide accurate and timely analysis through data monitoring Provide timely and regular reports to support SMT market understanding Liaise with suppliers to support team plan, keeping and maintaining appropriate records as required Ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures Desirable Skills; Results driven, with some commercial thinking Enjoy a challenge and variety Good communication skills – strong team collaborator Attentive to detail Flexible, adaptable and keen to learn Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2 Sound IT and report writing skills Good numeracy skills To be considered for the role APPLY NOW or contact Just Recruit today.
