Located in Surrey near Epsom, Croydon and surrounding areas, this offers a great opportunity for someone seeking permanent employment within a growing business. Boasting over 90 years experience, supporting industries including Automotive, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Medical and others by producing high quality, highly complex, machined components, our client operates across 3 areas of specialism - Machinery, Tooling and Subcontract machining. Due to an extremely strong and busy order book, the business is looking to expand and as a result of this, they require a Production Engineer to join their existing engineering team. The successful person will be based within the companies Subcontract division where they will be ensuring the manufacturing processes and procedures are optimised for blue-chip customers across the various sectors. Responsibilities including but are not limited to: Performing 2D & 3D designs of fixturing and tooling Creating BOM's and working closely with MRP's Create processes, production paperwork and CAD drawings ensuring that manufacturing processes are lean and efficient New Product Introduction Ordering material to correct specification Ensuring certificate packages are correct before shipping Liaise with expeditors Liaise with subcontract suppliers and build lasting relationships Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate: Strong precision engineering background Involved in machining complex, small to large sized components to industries such as; Aerospace, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Motorsport etc. Previous CAD CAM Programming experience Worked with various multi-axis machines (Mazaks would be preferable but not essential) Experience using SolidWorks and SolidCAM is desirable but not essential - other software packages will be considered Worked with various materials Adhered to high standards and tight tolerances - /- 0.015mm Strong, confident communicator with a can-do attitude In return our client is offering: Stability / Longevity - Permanent position Competitive salary - Circa £40,000 p.a depending on experience Hours: Day shift, 38 per week with an early finish on a Friday Additional benefits include: Contributory pension scheme (8%), Life Assurance (X3 of your salary), Company bonus (depending on profit of the business), Sick pay, Holidays - 25 days other benefits If you are interested in the position and believe you meet the above criteria, please submit your most up to date CV to
