Overview
Tech Lead - PHP Futureheads have partnered with a social impact business based in Central London, to find their new Technical Lead. The business has a variety of digital products and software, which allow institutions to inspire young people and deliver world-class careers advice to the next generation. In this role, you would have ownership of the software development function, leading from a hands-on perspective, running deployments and code reviews, mentoring others and liaising with their external partners. The digital function, working alongside impressive and impactful technology leaders as well as policy advisors and senior members of Government bodies. This is an amazing opportunity, to transform the way young people get into work, engaging them with businesses and enterprises at a younger age. You’ll also support and champion a data-driven approach to creating an ecosystem of digital products and services that will prepare young people for the ever-changing world of work. To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following: Line management experience including hiring and mentoring Strong hands on PHP knowledge including MVC frameworks (Symfony/Laravel) Full stack capabilities, preferably with a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular) Experience designing and writing robust software for large applications Knowledge of continuous integration, hosting services, data security and GDPR compliance Strong communications skills and comfortable working in a cross-functional capacity Please do not hesitate to send through your CV to be considered for this unique opportunity.
