Overview

Mechanical Packaging Engineer 6 Month Contract Aerospace Industry £40-£50ph (UMBRELLA ONLY) Location: Shirley (Birmingham) We are looking for a Mechanical Packaging Engineer who can support and work with the electronics engineers to: Provide mechanical input to guide the electronics engineers with constraints and considerations during layout of electronics Identify suitable connectors Utilise flexi-rigid PCBs for compact design with both power and signal layers Select appropriate Heat Sinks and liaise with Thermal Engineering to ensure effective cooling Design any harnessing required Influence and guide the 'design for assembly' aspect of packaging Influence and guide the 'design for cost' aspect of packaging Mechanical packaging to a cost What Qualifications are required: Engineering Degree or Equivalent What skills/experience are required: NX CAD Skills, Teamcenter, Design Experience (Other design packages will be considered if the candidate holds the right experience) Ideally Candidates that have worked with FADEC (full authority digital engine control) OR PDU (Power distribution unit) OR MDE (Motor Drive Electronics), OR GCU (Generator Control unit) Roevin is an equal opportunities employer, for further information please contact Khush 0121 234 9269 Roevin acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
