Job Description
Our client is an established manufacturer of bespoke automated machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will be based at our client's production facility near Birmingham. The Role: Reporting to the production manager you will work alongside a team of experience multi-skilled fitters in order to build complex and bespoke automated machinery from drawing to completion. Duties will include but is not limited to the following; * Build, assemble & fit components into complete machine build * Pneumatic piping and valves * Senors, motors etc etc. * Bench fitting work to high quality finish * Read engineering & pneumatic drawings & schematics * Build, assembly and manufacturer machine parts and components * Use of relevant hand tools Candidate: The successful applicant will be apprentice trained or experienced mechanical engineer ideally with a minimum 5 years experience. Ideally you will have previous experience in mechanical build / assembly of special purpose or automated machinery. You will have good mechanical engineering and fault finding skills and ideally you will have NVQ 3 or HNC in mechanical engineering. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday days 39 hours Benefits: Excellent basic salary+ OT 28 days annual leave Pension
