Software Engineer Lincoln, Up to £50k Tech Stack: C++, Qt, Linux, Unix, solaris, software development, My client is a leading defence and cyber data systems specialist with offices in Lincoln looking for a Software Engineer to join their Software Engineering team. Operating over the last 15 years they are a software house that work within the cyber security industry creating software and hardware applications, services and products with a strong future A successful software engineer will be responsible for: Creating scalable software platforms and applications with C++ and Qt Planning and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project Designing and build tools and frameworks to automate software development Collaborating with a global team, leading the production of project work plans and analysing the efficiency of project operations Examining existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions To be considered for this Software engineer role you will need to have experience in one or more of the following tools and technologies: Windows/Linux/Solaris platform C++ and QT (or similar, STL etc) Java C# Proven ability to document design processes, including development, tests, analytics and troubleshooting Experience with rapid development cycles in a web and or desktop based environment Strong scripting and test automation abilities In return, as a software engineer you will receive Competitive salary Innovative work Great working environment Annual training budget (to be used on anything you like, conferences etc) Company Pension Company bonus Flexible working arrangements 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Unpaid extended leave Cycle to work scheme This Software Engineer role is paying a salary of between £45-50,000 and is based in Lincoln but is commutable from Nottingham, Bingham, Bottesford, Grantham, Worksop, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Gainsborough, Scampton, Retford, Woohall Spa and Boston We also offer a £200 referral fee so if you happen to know a Software Engineer with the right c++ background, we would be interested in hearing from you Tech Stack: C++, Linux, Unix, solaris, python, c#, java, apache kafka, golang, microservices, load balancing , data buffering, data collecting, big data, algorithm development, mathematics, matlab, cross platform development, MySQL, PostGIS, Qt, visual studio, eclipse, agile, Atlassian, jira, This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89807625
