This wouldn’t be possible without VoiceTech companies like Vocala, who design and create games for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Vocala are growing, and they’re looking for a Lead Developer to join their team in Weybridge. This will suit an experienced developer who's looking to move into a lead role. You'll get the chance to shape processes here, building scalable systems and solutions. As the business is still young, you can make a significant impact on their future through your work. You’ll be leading a team of eight - two senior developers, two mid-level full stack developers and 4 Voice developers. You'll be a source of guidance, helping the team around you grow. Around 70% of your time will be spent on code and code reviews, with the remainder leading the team and customer communication from time to time. As well as that, you’ll look after the development of their big data tool, SaaS product and backend for their voice solutions. Oversee the running of the content management system, and get involved with some of the bespoke backend systems they’ve built for well known brands. You’ll have experience in a digital environment or similar development role, with a technical skill set including C#, .NET core, JavaScript, React JS or Angular, and SQL server. Any experience in Testing, Mobile development, Node.js or Cloud (AWS or Azure) is desirable, though not essential. Vocala has quite the accolade already. Vocala has big plans for the future, but these are dependent on getting the right Lead Developer in place. That’s because you’ll be instrumental in helping them climb even further, reaching even greater heights. You’ll be joining a business which is still relatively small, but doing interesting and impactful work, while commanding a lot of respect in their field. What helps is they enjoy very strong, closely held relationships with some of the biggest tech companies in the world, like Google and Amazon. Your ideas are heard here. Every single member of the team gets to have an input on future products and designs. So the mark you leave on Vocala, is entirely up to you. You’ll get a salary of £60,000-£70,000, 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with 1 extra day each year, up to 25 days), pension (Employer 3% / Employee 5%), plus a Gym Membership after probation.
