Overview
Globally known technology company that have become a world leader in their field for their extensive software solutions are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join their global base and help push their key products to the next level. They have been operating successfully for almost 15 years now and are regarded as the tech giants within their fields, they have several platforms already in use worldwide and have well over 5,000 employees with the business. Their key platform is predominantly rolled out to most electrical utilities across the globe and helps them to account for their distributed energy for their private network and customer base. Currently, they are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join their well-established team of Engineers (Circa 11 with varying levels of experience). The bulk of the team are based in their Glasgow City Centre office but do also have a few key members in the US - so you should ideally feel comfortable working with a part remote based team from time to time. Your role will be varied and no two days are the same. Most of your time will be spent delivering and supporting the company's key Network Management systems. Their platforms are designed to integrate with their customers systems, and you will therefore play an active part in ensuring the success of this from the initial design, development to deployment and will continue to stay with the product as a POC for 2nd tier tech support and future updates on the system. You will ideally have experience with most of the following; Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or something similar) Experience of Software Development (ideally in Java, C# or Python) Understanding of IT Communication Networking / Support Experience in designing data interfaces with SCADA Knowledge of automation and control platforms Experience delivering projects in Power Systems / Power Distributed Space Experience with build and deployment of Windows and Linux platforms is advantageous This is a really unique opportunity at one of the most renowned company's in not just Glasgow but across the globe, they are an extremely stable organisation that are consistently growing and looking for ambitious individuals to help them provide world-class tech solutions. The company are based in Glasgow city centre just walking distance from Glasgow Queen Street and Central Station - with really flexible working options. They are offering salaries up to £50k for the right candidate (may be some wiggle room here) on top of some very competitive benefits; Bonus, 7.5% Pension, 33 days holiday many more.
