Overview
Mencap are currently recruiting for Support Worker's who are interested in working during the AFTERNOON'S from 2:30pm until 10.00pm in the evening. We have full time and part time positions available, and will be holding interviews over the next couple of weeks. If successful you will be supporting individuals who live on a large complex with four cottages with 5 - 7 people that we support in each cottage. They have all known each other for many years and have built close friendships. They are an active bunch and enjoy swimming; cycling; and zumba; to name a few. They would love it if you could get involved too Each individual has varying needs so you will need to be flexible in order to support them. You will be supporting with daily living activities; budgeting; household duties such as cleaning; and to prepare and cook healthy meals. The people you will be supporting all have different hobbies and interests that they like to get involved in and this will mean that you will have the opportunity to help them to do the things that they enjoy most. For this post, we are looking for individuals who are looking for afternoon shifts from 14:30 - 22:00 to enable the individuals to access the community and enjoy activities in and around their home.
