Golden opportunity with a top tier developer looking to bring someone in to establish and develop their BIM document control and CDE systems. It would suit someone who has equal enthusiasm for technology, construction and efficient ways of working Oh, and we'd also like someone who is a 'people person' because a big part of this job is getting colleagues and external partners on board, bought in to the systems and working in the same way. The appointed individual would set up, manage and control all project document flow in the CDE across all BIM enabled projects to ensure accurate registration, storage of drawings, specifications and all other project information. Projects will be generally large scale, mixed-use schemes. The BIM Document Controller CDE Administrator would liaise with the external design teams, the site team, subcontractors, tenants and suppliers. You would lead the establishment of systems and standards and then seek to constantly evolve and improve them. An important part of your remit would be training and coaching colleagues and external partners. You would then audit to ensure procedures and standards are being adhered to. Other responsibilities would include creating projects, creating new users and working with IT specialists in relation to the Common Data Environment. We'd like to hear from people who are either working for a developer, architecture practice, engineering firm or a main contractor. Candidates should be IT savvy and have a good level of understanding of Aconex and Good Business Collaborator. Of course candidates will also need previous document control experience and an enthusiasm for working on BIM enabled projects.
