Overview
Are you looking to joining a UK team with a different approach? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property & Casualty Underwriter to join our client, a rapidly growing and dynamic insurer based out of impressive office space in the heart of Manchester. With a strong underwriting background you will have the ability to assess technical risks and understand the importance of assessing risk and the exposure. Underwriting all Property & Casualty classes you will work effectively with the underwriting team and work towards a common goal. To be successful in this role, you will be an ambitious individual, analytical in your approach to underwriting and knowledgeable about the coverage of polices, different risks across various business sectors. Strong knowledge of property and casualty risks is important, as is the communication and negotiation skills required for a trading led role. Naturally, good broking relationships together with the ability to build and maintain these are imperative. You will be articulate and confident in your approach with a well-balanced judgement in with the ability to meet deadlines and run projects successfully within agreed timescales.
