Overview

The Opportunity: The Private Client Advice group evaluates client and prospect objectives, risk profiles, current investment strategies and structures to determine suitable asset allocation and benchmark recommendations, as well as provide regulated financial planning advice on the suitability of pension switches/transfers, bond surrenders, investment taxation, Inheritance Tax Planning and Lifetime Allowance Planning. You will collaborate with other internal departments to prepare relevant deliverables with the purpose of helping clients meet their long term goals and objectives. You will support a team of other Associates, Analysts, Private Client Directors and Investment Counsellor’s in providing regulated and suitable advice to prospective and existing clients of the group. The role will help you develop high attention to detail, whilst honing your analytical and quantitative skills. The responsibilities Prepare written proposals by collecting and compiling client information and information from third party providers Follow up with pension and investment bond providers to ensure we have all information necessary to complete a recommendation Use internal database to capture policy details Conduct Morningstar analysis on prospective or existing clients’ assets Run various cash flow and portfolio simulations for inclusion in the proposals Perform tax wrapper analysis for bond surrenders Format Investment Portfolio Recommendations Work on ad hoc group projects to help improve efficiencies Use MS Access, Word, Excel and Adobe to customise proposals and generate detailed reports Request and complete external pension and investment bond transfer/surrender paperwork Follow up with ceding schemes in relation to transfer queries Liaise with other internal groups to ensure smooth and efficient transition of cases Your Qualifications: A University degree or equivalent combination of education/experience Experience with financial planning and investment principles or industry exams preferable Extremely attentive to detail Good oral and written communication skills Flexible with strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment Fluent Written and Verbal language proficiencies in one or more of the following: Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Italian, Spanish or French
