Salary: Grade 9 £31,226 - £36,902 depending upon experience

Overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts and Commissioning Manager to work within a small team. You will be responsible for commissioning activities, procurement of services and management of contracts. The work you undertake will vary widely, however it all the ultimately contributes to improving outcomes for children and young people. Children and young people are at the centre of everything we do and our young advisors are involved in our procurement activities to ensure the voice of the child is heard throughout our projects. The structure within the Trust means that you will have access to quick decision-making by senior managers. This allows for tasks to completed quickly. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services and Company Secretary, you will be working at a strategic level. You need to be professional and confident in communicating with various members of staff, as you will be advising, liaising with and writing reports at all levels. You will need to be familiar with procurement legislation and the EU Procurement Directives, as you will be required to work to these. Working within a busy team, you will be working on tasks from start to finish, including working with service areas to define requirements, advising colleagues, writing reports for board members, writing specifications, publishing ITT’s, evaluating tenders, issuing contracts, negotiating contracts and analysing data You will need to be able to manage your workload independently and work on your own initiative. Accuracy and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities are also important assets. You will be involved in a variety of work across the Trust and you will have an impact on services such as corporate services, placements for children, youth crime prevention activities, multisystemic therapy with a whole family approach and much more. This role will enable you to make a real impact on the lives of children and young people, as well as ensuring the support systems are in place across the Trust to enable staff to undertake their jobs more effectively.
