Overview
This is a medium-sized firm of UK and European Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys that specialise and practice in all areas of intellectual property. They have a particularly strong trademark department, their trademark professionals have experience in UK and international registration, enforcement, anti-counterfeiting and domain name disputes - working with a variety of clients and some major brand names. This is a senior strategic position within the company (happy to discuss exactly what this looks like in the long-term in more detail, so please get in touch if interested). They are looking for someone who can come in and work autonomously and has the ability to work with a wide variety of clients including international clients and portfolios; advising on assignments etc. This is with some major clients and known brands. The Candidate: Some experience with disputes would be of interest - some contentious work (mainly outsourced) but experience in cease / desist activity and negotiations around agreements / licenses would be a bonus. More suited to an individual who does not need hand-holding and can 'make things happen' and hit the ground running. You should be happy working in a smaller-sized firm, the chance to be more hands on but within a fledgling business that is growing. No need for the new person to develop new business but the expectation is for the individual to bring new ideas to the table and be able to think on their own feet.
