Overview
Software Design Engineer West Yorkshire £46000 My client’s looking for a Software Design Engineer to support the Lead Software Engineer to complete the product development plans and to ensure that the projects and applications are robust and fit for purpose. The Software Design Engineer will be mostly programming in C# and WPF, but this will tie into the embedded side of the systems and products which are created and then rolled out to the client base. This will be maintaining and developing testing products. The role of the Software Design Engineer is to deliver the company NPD plans on time and to maintain and develop the Innovation Teams function. This will mean regular communication with the other relevant departments within the business. The Software Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of efficient software solutions through the full SDLC through to the test and production of new software. This includes the creation of storyboards and flow diagrams and developing a new touchscreen embedded system. The Software Design Engineer will also be expected to give technical support to other departments when required and contribute and be an active member of the team. The Software Design Engineer will have a customer focus approach and be committed to Health & Safety standards, along with working independently and collaboratively.
