Kolamba is looking to grow our existing team of talented Chefs for our recently opened restaurant on Kingly Street, Soho. This will be a great opportunity to be part of a new and exciting restaurant offering contemporary Sri Lankan food in the heart of London. Able to work in a fast-passed environment, serving 250 covers a day. Warm and personable, a natural leader who is always happy to coach, train and mentor the junior members of the team. Capable of managing a small team in a systematic, structured and organised fashion. Commercially aware and financially astute, delivering healthy margins and payroll costs. Comfortable with high-quality yet high-volume kitchen operation. Good at delegating, assisting the senior team who can deliver consistent quality 7 days a week 12 to 10.30pm operation. Overseeing all due diligence, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene. Experience and exposure to Asian cuisine is preferable. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, plenty of hard work attitude and desire to progress. The company has extensive expansion plan; therefore, we are looking to appoint an individual eager to learn and to step up in the next Head Chef role in 6 months’ time.
