Job Title - Senior Commercial Underwriter Contract - Permanent Salary - £30,000 - £60,000 Location - Kent Industry - Insurance Company (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial) _________________________________________________________________________________ Our client currently has an opportunity for a Senior Commercial Underwriter to join their Kent office. You will be responsible for Commercial Combined, Property Owners and Liability Insurance. Key Tasks: ·Making effective day-to-day decisions so that work is completed efficiently; ·Balancing intermediary needs with organisational objectives in order to deliver business success and profitable growth; ·Identify & define business opportunities, seeking technical/specialist input as necessary to ensure that proposals are dealt with swiftly and effectively, securing business; ·Make a positive input into the team's effectiveness, suggesting ways in which work systems and processes can be improved; ·Work flexibly in a team, assisting colleagues wherever pressure is greatest so that overall team performance is enhanced; ·Work with other members of the team so that personal competency and ability to achieve objectives is continuously improved. Requirements: ·Experience working within property/Liability underwriting environments would be ideal; ·Sound technical background; ·Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ·Strong Customer Service commitment is essential; ·Good Commercial Insurance experience is required and an understanding of underwriting, philosophy and strategy would be helpful.
