Overview

Senior Technical Business Analyst – London Insurance Market £50,000 - £80,000 (negotiable on experience level) bonus structure Permanent City of London Main responsibilities and duties: - Complete and maintain a detailed business process map of all business processes as workflow diagrams and documents with detailed overview - Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats - Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications - Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications - Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures - Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models - Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making - Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports - Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of changes - Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations - Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes - Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement Knowledge and Experience: - Solid understanding of the London Insurance Market, including Lloyd's of London Brokers, Coverholders, Managing General Agents. - Advanced Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Excel skills – including VBA - Experience of Insurance claims an advantage - English speaking, Italian would be a benefit - Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience - Microsoft SQLServer Relational Database design and SQL skills (Advanced) - Knowledge of using business workflow tools such as - Knowledge of Microsoft .NET C# an advantage Business Analyst top skills & proficiencies: - Software Design - Analysis & Process Improvement - Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience
