Overview

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer sought to join the Kent based Building Services Division of a multi-disciplinary consultancy that offer exceptional training and continued professional development opportunities. Succession planning is key for the next 5 years of the MEP team as such they can provide the successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a path to progress through to Associate and then Partner level, with Equity Partnership a real possibility for high achievers. Their building services division was established in 2008 and has grown to over 70 MEP engineers, a key part of this success has been the support and development they have provide staff with individuals gaining the chance to continue their education to MEng and PhD levels, gain Chartered Engineer status and progress into management and Partner level positions. They are also able to provide a diverse project portfolio to incorporate work across the Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Education and Leisure sectors with work from £3m to £300m in value. The successful individual will report into Kent M&E Partner undertaking a range of duties to include the following; Develop and present mechanical design proposals to a client following the brief ensuring the client requirements are achieved, acting as either lead internal consultant or as member of a team. Prepare, ready for tender, specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules and contract documentation. Issue in conjunction with the client, contract documentation to tender, adjudicate and recommend appropriate contractor to meet project requirements. Act as lead Consultant undertake all aspects of project management as defined by the client in his letter of appointment. To be considered individuals will have qualifications to at least HNC / HND in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering and possess a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems. You will also be able to demonstrate a minimum of 6 years' experience working within the Building Services Industry some of which will have been gained working to UK regulations. Formal membership of CIBSE or IMechE is advantageous, although assistance to gain CEng status is offered. In return they are offering a starting salary of £45,000 to £55,000 benefits to include; Pension, Healthcare, Professional membership paid, Continued Professional Development Budget, Life Assurance, 35 hour working week
