Overview
Science Teacher Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: West London Start date: September 2020 Connaught is currently partnered with a school founded in the nineteenth century, since when it has been in continuous operation as a major West London boys' day preparatory school. We're looking for a Teacher of Science on a full-time and permanent basis from September 2020. They have an excellent reputation for Common Entrance/ Scholarship, feeding mainly into London senior independent schools. In recent years, scholarships have been secured at Eton College, St Paul's, City of London, Harrow, Merchant Taylors', Stowe, etc. The school has always had an excellent academic reputation and sporting tradition, increasingly nourished by music, drama, ICT, etc. The school has roughly 400 pupils on roll aged 4-13. The school is three form entry, with roughly 16 pupils per class. Classes are split from Year 6, setting by ability. Science splits into Biology, Chemistry and Physics early on at the school. The ability to teach all three sciences to KS3 Scholarship level is essential due to the school's strong academic background. The Science Teacher will be in a department of two, reporting directly to the Head of Science. There is also a pre-prep Science Coordinator and Prep Science Coordinator. If you are an experienced and/or academic Teacher of Science looking to join a high performing and progressive setting please get in touch. I'm shortlisting for this post next week so please send through a copy of your CV to hayley.logueconnaughteducation.com Likewise, I'm available to speak on 0203 405 3127 to discuss the above in more detail.
