Overview
Avanti Recruitment is partnering with a successful insurance company to recruit talented Infrastructure Engineers. They are based in Basingstoke and have lovely modern offices close to the train station. The successful candidate will be responsible for the security and maintenance of the company’s IT Infrastructure, ensuring it is always available, designed to high standards and is performing to the best of its capacity. You’ll be analytical in your approach, always looking at better ways to do things, making suggestions and looking to bring them to life You’ll be someone that is in touch with the latest tech trends as the company are always looking to work with the latest technologies that’ll produce the best outcomes for their customers. Key Skills (not all of these are required) / Tech stack for the role; - Active Directory (2012) inc. GPO management - VMware & vSphere - Linux System Installation / Administration - Networking - TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, SD-WAN - Firewalls (preferably UTM), experience of Watchguard devices a bonus - VPN experience - Experience with VoIP / SIP based phones and PBXs Bonus Skills / Where you can gain exposure - Nagios / PRTG monitoring platforms - Remote Desktop Services / Citrix / Thin clients - HP/Aruba networking - Migration and maintenance of AWS/Azure solutions - Infrastructure as Code techniques The culture is collaborative and focuses on self-improvement and providing the necessary tools to succeed and excel.
