Works range from repair and maintenance, bathroom/ kitchen fit outs to full scale building renovations. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities supervising and overseeing the direction of the jobs that are part of the contract, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and ensuring deadlines are met. liaising with the client, construction professionals and members of the public meeting clients and generating quotations Planning labour by considering planned works and coordinating with other contracts managers and the managing director ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget creating, updating and amending programmes of work making regular health and safety inspections and ensuring site safety liaising with health and safety consultant to ensure all paperwork is up to date and in place checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up assessing and minimising risk writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork securing permits where required conducting inductions when a new employee starts Education and Experience experience of the general building trade essential experience of managing several sites desirable knowledge of general health and safety essential experience with programming software (eg Microsoft Project) desirable Key Competencies organizing and prioritizing attention to detail and accuracy confidentiality judgment communication skills information management skills problem-solving skills team work ability to meet deadlines Benefits Car, bonus, pension scheme, subsidised gym membership etc. How to apply On clicking apply you may be prompted to login or register with the website where you have seen this vacancy.
