The Group is around £4 million turnover currently and looking to continue its growth. The group comprises of Stocksigns - Health & Safety signs Message Maker - LED sign solutions Stocksigns manufacturers on-site, has a full custom-made service and includes others, such as on-site surveys, project management, graphic design and installation services. Stocksigns are fully ISO credited and a leading member of the HSSA and a RoSPA partner. They are committed to providing the very best service and the highest quality signage. Message maker Displays is one of the UK 's leading suppliers of standard and bespoke LED sign solutions, with a speciality in Traffic Management Signs. The business employs a successful marketing led growth strategy and has ambitious plans for both now and the future. The business also prides itself on hosting various charity challenges, the last few years have included, Morocco, National Three Peaks, Ireland and Slovenia. The successful candidate will enjoy putting on their walking boots, taking part and being an active member of the strong culture, they have built at Stocksigns. Job Description The Financial Controller is entirely responsible for the management of the finance function, financial results and on-going development of the people and processes. The role will include the following elements: Preparation of financial statements and year-end accounts Manage the audit process and dealing with any queries Develop and control the annual operating budget Support the business with management information and reports to help drive productivity and profitability Management accounts preparation Contracts support and investment appraisals Develop and maintain the quality systems in line with ISO accreditation's, legal and health & safety requirements Purchasing - negotiations and maintaining supplier audits Develop and maintain IT systems and hardware throughout the business ISO compliance Manage and maintain bad debt reports Day to day management of the finance team Key member of the senior management team, present at board meetings The Successful Applicant The post holder will be an accomplished Financial Controller, happy managing the entire finance function and reporting directly into an MD. The post holder will have previous exposure of working in an SME, enjoy taking on more than just core finance and supporting with procurement, insurance and other commercial requirements. The successful applicant will want to be part of a business that wants to add a valued member to its senior management team, someone that is excited by innovation and change. The business wants someone that is a strong communicator, motivated to work collaboratively with the wider business and takes and active role in driving the company culture.
