Development Advisor Quantity Surveyor
Overview
A European Private Investment Fund are looking for a Development Advisor to join their Asset Management team based in London. The main purpose of the role is to advise on and monitor the real estate portfolio which is primarily focused across the UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, France, Austria, Benelux, Switzerland, Scandinavia. The Development Advisor will be advising on approx. $1.5b across 3 active funds (raising 4th fund at present, so this is set to increase soon). Typical investments being small to mid-cap and between EUR 20-100m with an investment horizon of 1-6 years. The portfolio is a mixture of both traditional real estate and real estate related asset backed businesses which span across a mixture of prime apartments, ski chalets, leisure, residential land, Spanish residential, German micro apartments and office conversions, pubs, restaurants, self-storage, care homes, day nurseries, social housing, PRS, student housing, hotels and cemeteries Requirements and experience needed: Chartered QS Languages a plus Circa 8 years PQE Cross sector experience Experience working cost plans prior to entering a JV Contract work Review engineering plans Project monitoring experience A thorough understanding of the development process. Key ability to articulate and communicate your knowledge to all stake-holders and demonstrate an ability to monitor the third party QS, client, consultants and the main contractor where relevant in order to assure a smooth process throughout the development delivery stages.
