Overview
This is a real one of a kind opportunity for a talented, ambitious and confident legal professional to join a privately owned property investment and development company. The company currently owns and operates a property portfolio in excess of £2bn and has ambitious growth plans. The portfolio is diverse and alongside of its own assets, operates its own serviced apartments, co working and events business, all in the heart of central London Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel you will responsible for the following: Providing exceptional legal advice across all development projects, leasing and operational assets. Delivering legal support on Corporate M&A for the company as well as the operational business. advising on key legal risks associated with real estate transactions; drafting and reviewing leases, tenancy agreements, construction, fit-out, and project management agreements. To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and expertise: A minimum 6 years post qualification experience preferably in a major law firm and/or in-house role. Solid experience in real estate development projects. Experience in relevant legal areas including construction, planning, real estate finance, litigation and insolvency. Superb business acumen and communication skills. The ability to work autonomously, exercise discretion and sound judgement where necessary Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and work.
