Senior Approvals Engineer (Safety/EMC) Chard, Somerset - Permanent, Full time position Salary £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) Have you provided technical guidance and support relating to global product compliance? If your answer is “yes” this might just be the role for you… We are looking for a Senior Approvals Engineer (Safety/EMC) to join an iconic British Company who operate on a global presence. Primarily focused on ensuring products comply with global product standards. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support on all matters relating to global product compliance. What would you do? Be the “go to” person on global standards and legislation for our client’s products. Manage test programs with external suppliers and testing organisations. Work with R&D to ensure all new products meet the necessary standards. Ensure compliance testing runs smoothly. Provide product compliance guidance. Technical file management; satisfying FCC, UL, CE, LVD, Machinery Directive, EMC, RoHS, REACH etc. Manage the certification library of approved products. What are we looking for? You will have a track record of ensuring global product compliance for electrical FMCG products. An excellent understanding of product compliance to international standards including EN, IEC, UL/CSA, FCC. Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and relevant compliance testing. The ability to interpret technical documentation and clearly communicate requirements. Strong project management skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
